Jason Peters

Jason grew up outside of San Francisco, CA playing in the redwood forests on mountain bikes and exploring the deserts through rock climbing. He found his love of photography through those adventures and that led him to Santa Barbra, CA to attend Brooks Institute of Photography. After his time at brooks, he made his way south again to work in the photography industry in Los Angeles. Throughout Jason’s career in photography and even before then, he has been training athletes to become better at their given sport. Before making the transition to Gearlab, Jason ran a youth rock climbing program with over fifty athletes. That program was focused on competition on the national stage. When Jason is not chasing “Golden hour” or at the Gearlab offices, you’ll find him training for his next climbing trip, on a mountain bike, or carving turns on skis.
