Michelle Powell

Michelle lives in South Lake Tahoe, CA where she has made a career as a gear tester, evaluating hundreds of products from espresso machines to binoculars. Informing her detailed, analytical approach is a degree in Cultural Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz, as well as an extensive professional culinary background. Michelle spends her free time rock climbing, running away on surf trips (or catching a wind swell on Lake Tahoe), and befriending animals wherever she goes.
