Whitney learned to climb in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, where she honed her skills on alpine granite and the notoriously difficult crag of Index, WA. Early on, she learned to be “comfortable while uncomfortable” by hiking seemingly endless miles to the base of a climb and spending multiple days on routes. She divides her time between California and Canada, always in search of another adventure. She has been on expeditions to India, Alaska and Patagonia, and these trips have taught her the importance of having the proper gear to get the job done.
