Our Verdict

Looking for something small to plug and dash for just a bit? The Dizaul 5000mAh Portable shines in this department. With two ports, it can provide a bit of power to your two devices while you keep them in your pocket.
REASONS TO BUY
Small
Can fit in your pocket
Has a LED light
REASONS TO AVOID
The small solar panel doesn't charge
However, this charger should not be relied on as a solar charger. It barely picked up direct and indirect sunlight. It should be charged ahead of time and then used as a simple battery pack. At a low price, the Dizaul performed well for what it is- a lightweight charger for those looking for a quick electric bump in the outdoors.

Our Analysis and Test Results

This small battery pack can fit in your pocket at a low cost while still charging multiple devices. It should be noted that the device's solar charging abilities are fairly abysmal and that it should be treated as less of a solar panel and more as a strong charging battery pack.

Direct Solar Charging Speed

This 5000 mAh device acts as a fast charger for attached devices but when it comes to capturing sunlight, the Dizaul 5000mAh did not fair well. As a solar panel, the Dizaul 5000mAh underperformed. It produced a mere 103 mAh while in direct sunlight. This panel should be considered an emergency use only and may not function very well at that. It's better to consider this solely as a lightweight battery pack.

Indirect Solar Charging Speed

With a 5,000 mAh battery pack in a small package, this product recovers from interruption very well as long as the battery pack has a bit of juice in it. Much like other battery pack/solar combinations, this product works well when the battery is charged. If you are relying only on solar, the small panel will have a hard time charging the 5,000 mAh on its own.

In terms of the solar panel's ability to charge in a less than ideal sun situation, the Dizaul 5000mAh underperformed. It barely charged in the full shade and even in the partial shade.

Multiple Device Charging Speed

The Dizaul 5000mAh has two USB ports, earning it a commendable score in this metric. It put out 792 mAh to the first port and 659 mAh in the second port, making it a slightly below average producer in terms of charging multiple ports well.

Portability

The Dizaul 5000mAh is the most portable products in this review. It is small, light, and barely noticeable at 3.8 ounces, making it great for any backpacking trip or for any time when you need an extra charge for your battery. It doesn't have any folding panels so it comes at a mere 5.75" x 3" x 0.5", which is pocket-sized. The portability of this product makes it noteworthy and ideal for days when you need a small charger.

Should You Buy The Dizaul 5000mAh?

The Dizaul 5000mAh comes in at a very reasonable price compared to most of the other solar panels in this review. As a compact device that can boost a nearly dead electronic, it works great. The value is in the device as a charger and not a solar panel.

What Other Solar Chargers Should You Consider?

This is a portable, lightweight product that delivers a fast charge to two devices at a time, via a USB cable. We applaud it for its simplicity and fast charging capabilities. That being said, we prefer using the Dizaul 5000mAh as a battery pack, as opposed to a full-blown solar set-up, considering the size of the panel. It's a great backup for travel or overnight trips into the backcountry.

While this model does ok as a battery pack, we liked the OEUUDD 25000mAh a lot more in terms of its capacity to charge a few devices and provide more energy.
