Our Verdict
The 90 Degree by Reflex Power Flex pants are a simple and inexpensive legging. The material is lightweight, breathable, and easy to move in, but it's not very compressive nor does it provide much support. There is little “design” and seaming going on, with only one seam running down the inner leg, which started unravelling on us mid-class. If you are looking for a basic pair of tights for yoga, then these are a great purchase for the price. In fact, if you hate spending more on a pair of yoga pants than you do on jeans or work wear, then these are probably the pair for you, as they only cost around $20. Otherwise, look to our Editors' Choice winner, the Lucy Studio Hatha Capri Legging, which are solidly made and great to practice in.
Our Analysis and Test Results
The 90 Degree by Reflex Power Flex pants are made of 87% nylon and 13% spandex. It has an internal key pocket at the hip, a wide contoured waistband and a gusseted crotch. These pants are available in XS-XL sizes as well as 1X-3X plus sizes. The current color options are: Lighting Blue, Black, Magenta, Merlot, Navy, Watermelon, Heather Charcoal, Pink Blaze and Olive.

Breathability
These leggings ranked high for breathability and were only outperformed by the Onzie Capri Pant. You barely feel that you are wearing the Onzie pants, whereas this pair has a tad more thickness to them. That being said, they still ventilated well and we never found ourselves looking like we had peed ourselves by the end of class, which was indeed the case with some other pants like the Prana Audrey and the Soybu Killer Caboose Pant. We were worried that the teal color we tested would show sweat, however any moisture we produced quickly blended in with the rest of the pant.
There is a slight change in color when wet, but these pants are so breathable that it's not much of an issue.

Ease of Movement
These leggings had great ease of movement. The material is not restricting and will stretch with you easily. The flat and wide waistband does sit a little high though, which means there's a bit of extra material that can get in the way of forward bends. On the other hand, it provides a little extra coverage and control of any extra flesh in your midsection. While the “legging” cut is not for everyone, it is nicer for certain poses like Lotus or King Pigeon Pose as there is less material to get in the way of your pose.
Leggings are typically more popular for practicing yoga as the extra material around the ankles in a boot or flare cut pant can be annoying and get in your way.

Comfort & Fit
We weren't that happy with the fit of these pants. We've tested previous versions and like the fit and compression that they had, but the current design is not so great. The material just doesn't have much compression to it, and is cut a little loose for the size. When you are wearing them you can feel parts of your legs or stomach that you would rather have compressed jiggling around. We did like that there is minimal seaming, which means fewer pressure points or chafing against your skin (though also less shaping). We also like that the internal key pocket is not too bulky or annoying, but overall these aren't the pair we'd want to spend a day on the couch in. If you're looking for a soft and comfortable pair for all-day wear, check out the Beyond Yoga Spacedye Long Legging.
The fit and cut of this pair was slightly different than other versions of this pant that we've tested in the past. The waistband here is a little bigger, sits a little higher, and fits a little looser. While that might make for a good song, it didn't work for us.

Durability
We were worried that this pair would not be durable given its lower price point. In our experience, when it comes to yoga pants you get what you pay for in terms of quality, and a $20 pair typically pills or unravels within a few washes. While we didn't see any pilling with this pair, we did have some seams unravelling after only a few uses. We have some older pairs of 90 Degree pants in our closet that this didn't happen to, but they did tend to lose their shape after a while. And because this material is on the thin side, if you are looking for a versatile pair of pants to take on hikes or rockclimbing, we'd go with something that is thicker, like the Soybu Killer Caboose Pant or Lucy Perfect Core Pant. The material on those pants is thicker and will weather an encounter with a prickly plant or rough rock better than this one.

Style
We liked the simple design of these pants, but overall they are a little on the plain side. They lack the additional seaming found on the Soybu Killer Caboose Pant that can give your rear some definition, and the fabric doesn't have the same luxe look as the Lululemon Wunder Under Crop III. If you are looking to make more of a statement than this pair offers, try the Alo Goddess Ribbed Legging.
There isn't much going on here in terms of style or design, but they do come in a vast array of bright colors.

Best Applications
The 90 Degree by Reflex Power Flex pants will work for almost any type of yoga you practice, from the hot room to a gentle Yin class, but are not a cozy pair that you'd want to wear lounging around the house or for running errands in after class. We preferred the Beyond Yoga Spacedye Long Legging for those I-live-in-yoga-pants days.
If you churn through yoga pants regardless if they cost $20 or five times that, you might as well go with the $20 pair. These inexpensive leggings will work for all types of yoga, and you won't feel bad about trashing them once they get stinky.

Value
These pants cost around $20-22. (They're listed at this price on the manufacturer website, though on Amazon their “list” price is $88, but are still always on “sale” for $20-22. You save 77%!) In any case, for around $20 you get an okay pair of yoga pants — is that a good deal? If you do a lot of yoga, and go through dozens of pairs a year because they get stinky and you can't take it anymore, then yes! You can get four pairs of these leggings for the same price as one pair of Beyond Yoga leggings, and you can use them till they fall apart, and then go buy four more!
Conclusion
In the end we have mixed feelings about the 90 Degree by Reflex Power Flex pants. They are breathable and easy to move it, but don't offer much compression or long-term durability. They definitely won't break the bank, so if you're tired of spending ridiculous sums of money on something you're just going to sweat in, these are the yoga pants for you.
