Comfort

The Therm-a-rest foam midsole is as comforting as it is comfortable. Backpackers and outdoorsy folks will smile to see a sandal made out of one of the same material as the ubiquitous foam sleeping pads that many of us have used on countless back county excursions. Even if the outdoors memories don't come flooding back when putting them on, these sandals are still very comfortable. The Therm-a-rest foam isn't just a gimmick — it provides a nice balance of squish comfort without being too soft. The first time on the Treelines feel great and the more you wear them, the more the foam molds to the shape of your foot.

Stability and Versatility

The score here was slightly above average. These are not a hike-three-miles-in-gnarly-terrain type of flip flop. They are more at home on short hikes and general excursions. They are also not a fashion flop like the Rainbows. They are in the middle; a good look that can handle many but not all surfaces you encounter.

Durability

This is a light sandal so we did not expect much long-term performance. However, after a solid nine months of use, these are still going strong. The footbed never got too squishy and the sole has reinforcement in the key wear spots. We are slowly wearing them down, but it is a very slow process.

Traction

The traction is just so-so. We would not recommend these for scrambling on rocks around the beach.
